Bowers and Wilkins :: UI, UX & Mobile Applications

Whilst working as the lead Creative Technologists at Native Design I was involved in numerous projects for and client meetings with their client Bowers and Wilkins (B&W) the leading speaker and headphone manufacturer. My work is under a very strict NDA and the products will not be out for another year or so. I am permitted to say that the products both involved JukeBlox and BluetoothLE and services such as Spotify, one of B&W’s lead partners, AirPlay by Apple and both Android and IOS Mobile applications.

DX Radio – The Thriller (Halloween Mix)

https://soundcloud.com/dxradio/dx-radio-the-horror-halloween-mix A scary DX Radio mixed live on Halloween 2012 by the legendary Drahcir Xam to a graveyard full of zombies and witches. As always its an eclectic set, this time with a scary slant, featuring Haunted House, Electro, Techno and Breaks from artists as varied as the Bee Gees and Skrillex. The introduction features the original studio recording of Vincent Price and Michael Jackson from Thriller. Simply brilliant from start to finish! Enjoy!

Genres covered range from electro, house, disco, pop and rock through to trance, techno, punk and breaks. So what are you waiting for…. just click the play button below to play the mix, or select other options like adding comments, posting to Twitter or Facebook or downloading the file as mp3 for use on your PC, Mac, Mobile or preferred audio player.

Drahcir Xam :: The Rocker

This is the last track I made before I started concentrating on code rather than notes, which was probably for the best for everyone! Its over ten years old and counting. Made with Cubase and clicked in with a mouse, it’s a rocky little number with an uplifting end. As per usual its more of an idea than a fully finished track as trying(!) to make music was always a hobby, not a career! But that said, surely its better out there on the internet than gathering dust on some old hard-drive at home. So what are you waiting for…. just click the play button below to play the mix, or select other options like adding comments, posting to Twitter or Facebook or downloading the file as mp3 for use on your PC, Mac, Mobile or preferred audio player. Enjoy!

Drahcir Xam :: Alpha Draconis

Drahcir Xam :: Acid Flashback

Another track that i created in my youth! All done just on a PC with a variety of software like Rebirth and Cubase SX. Have a listen, there’s a few great ideas there, production quality is obviously lacking so apologies!

University and School Club Nights

I organised my first club night, Anonymity, when i was 16 and still at school. The music was house (great tracks from the early 90’s) and it was based in Henley-on-Thames, the UK club mecca! After that i tried a few more including, The One on One which all went extremely well. The final one was snowed off and I lost all my gap year savings! Opps! Not deterred i went on to organise a range of Club Nights at university  to assist with my student income, including Mindwarp (a trance party) and Flavour, Phunk and Spunk (student orientated house nights!)
